Temptation
The temptation of which I speak is to attempt to distract from my lack of fiber related accomplishment with pictures of an adorable baby. But I cannot choose which from the hundreds. Besides, he's got his own FO photo shoot soon.
So here's a lame FO from a few weeks ago:
It's just a plain hat made from some fussy feather yarn (Bernat Boa, I think). I do have some other things in progress, but I didn't photograph the WIP Parade, and we all know I can be a bit flighty anyway when it comes to starting/stopping/abandoning/resuming knitting projects. Also, a certain damn cat, who recently appeared to be lobbying for a bigger, possibly handknit, cat bed
knocked over the WIP basket which did not win her any points. Thin ice, cat.
Well, I have a cute if slightly demanding baby to attend to, and possibly also a couple of papers and various other crap OH MY GOD I HATE DIGITAL LIBRARIES AND RUE THE DAY I ENROLLED IN IT sorry, meltdown over. Thank you all for your kind words about the socks--we wear them as much as possible--and Little D!
M's Culture Query
Alright Eileen and Suzanne--how does Tennant measure up? I didn't realize the new season started Friday and happened upon it late--and then multi-tasked during it--but so far I think he's a good Doctor. What do y'all think?

Oh, Tennant is wonderful!!!!!!!!! and this is from someone who could not imagine anyone coming close to my beloved 9th doctor. He is warm and funny and approachable, but still tough. Quirky--but the warmth of him was unexpected.
Now understand that this is based on my watching 1.3 of the new series--I had caught bits when I was in Eire and I have only watched the xmas special. But I feel optimistic that he will not dissapoint.
It does seem as if a Kitty Pi might be in your future. That photo is too funny -- "See, mom -- I'm WAY too big for this bed!"
