Wherein I Discover I'M NOT READY FOR THE BABY.

I know that's entirely irrelevant. As I finished up my cataloging final today (@#$*ing MARC), I realized that HOLY SHIT I AM NOT READY THERE IS TOO MUCH TO DO AND ALSO I HAVE NOT SLEPT ENOUGH. I realize that sleep doesn't work that way. I'm just beginning to feel kind of anxious again. I really, really would like my rib to mostly heal before the Big Event. I have, besides, much washing and scrubbing and vacuuming to do. Eep.

But I promised fiber.

From top: hand dyed, handspun mohair from Wyoming, Cherry Tree Hill sock yarn in River Run and Giotto in blue saturn. Baby-sized Justin boots added for scale and unimaginable cuteness. The Cherry Tree Hill will be socks...someday...but I'm not sure about the other two. I'm still working on the Clap. It is within the realm of possibilities that it will be finished this week. Could be!

I'm eager to get snoozing...predictably enough...but on an unrelated note, the TV sentry decided to move up in the world, and displaced one of the bears:

M's Culture Report

Having been buried under a Strategic Plan and a Cataloging Final, I don't have much. But last night, continuing with the theme of my faltering literary cred in conjuction with adaptations of Dumas books, I happened to catch The Man in the Iron Mask. (France, by this time, contains not just British people, but Americans and actual French, too. History is fun!) The line I remember most? "I know that to love you is a treason against France, but not to love you is a treason against my heart." Aww.

Witty Dialogue of the Day:

[Calculon has just described his dream of sharing a vinyard home with Coilette (Bender after a sex change)]

Bender: Will we have donkeys?

Calculon: All you can eat.

At least your schoolwork is done WHEW! If you are starting to nest you know what that means......you might be pregnant.

Touche.

But really, the problem is that I'm NOT nesting near enough...

Love the Giotto yarn - so perty. And the cat looks as if he/she is just dying to knock the rest of the plush off the tv so she/he can spread out a little.

Here's hoping your rib heals completely before The Big Day, and that your sleep is multiplied as well. Sounds like you might be nesting a little, maybe? Could this mean the grand event is imminent?

Honey, get thee some SLEEP. NOW. I command you in the name of, um, whoever you would allow to command you. (at least it sounds like sleep is something you want to do)

As for the housework--if it doesn't get done, it doesn't get done. Tell your friends and relatives that, rather than more baby clothes, you now want a gift certificate for a housecleaning. Seriously--there's nothing more pleasant than having someone else get your home spotless. (but then again, there's nothing more sucky than realizing this is not something you can afford as a habit. . . *sigh*)
